Recording album 2.

Wow. We just realised that we haven’t done a blog post since our album was released, which was almost half a year ago. So, where do we begin with what’s been going on over the past few months?!

Well, following the very overwhelming album release show in Chapter, we had a blast playing some spring and summer dates around the UK. Later in the summer we were asked to play the new bands stage at GREEN MAN FESTIVAL. As long time Green Man goers that was a massive honour! The ‘Green Man Rising’ stage was in a beautiful setting and the rain just about held off enough (bar a close roof-leak-laptop incident) for a sizeable (and very friendly) crowd to watch us. It was extremely humbling to be in the company of so many incredible bands and genuine music lovers.

We returned bleary eyed to Cardiff to be told that we’d been nominated for the Welsh Music Prize. With sleep deprivation, that was almost too much to take! You can see the full list of nominees here: There are some serious Welsh heavyweights and a whole lot of amazing music on there, so it goes without saying that we are incredibly excited to be nominated.

We’re going to be playing the mighty Swn festival again this year, which we first played in 2011. Following Swn we have some autumn/winter dates around the UK with two great bands: IAMHORSE and Wooden Arms.

These will be our last gigs of 2013. In early 2014 we’ll be retreating into the studio to embark on recording album 2.

Thank you to everyone for all of the support that we’ve received so far, it’s been an amazing year.

Yesterday saw the release of our debut album ‘February’.

It’s available as a limited and numbered 250 CD run, or as a digital download from our bandcamp page (where you can also stream it).

You can also buy the physical copy from the folk at Spillers Records. It will shortly be available on iTunes and Spotify.

We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who contributed to the making of the album. We have some truly great friends, and without them it would not have been possible.

We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we did making it.
